Taste Cumbria food festival is coming to Keswick for the first time this year as part of a drive to boost business in areas hit by December’s floods.
The event will take place on the town’s main street on Easter Sunday and Monday, 27 & 28 March and will feature a giant market with more than 50 traders selling food, drink and kitchenwares, plus family activities and hot food to eat on the spot.
The festival will build on the success of the existing Taste Cumbria events which are held in Cockermouth and Ulverston, and the pop-up food villages which take place at Lowther Show and the Cumberland Show.
The main Cockermouth event is now in its seventh year. Ironically, Taste Cumbria was created following the 2009 floods which devastated the town. Its aim was to attract visitors to the area and demonstrate that it was very much open for business, giving the county’s food and drink producers the chance to showcase their wares.
We hope to do the same for Keswick and look forward to seeing you there!
