Now in its second year Taste Tynedale is already becoming an important date in the foodie diary as one of the North East’s most exciting new events. Supported by Hexham Town Council and the Hexham Courant, last year saw over 7,500 visitors to for the 2-day festival with 2017 promising to be even bigger and better at its new location in the picturesque grounds of Hexham Abbey.
The festival showcases some of the finest produce from around the North as well as featuring a beer and wine festival, chef demonstrations, masterclasses, live music, picnic area, kids’ activities and much more!
As with our Taste Cumbria events our objectives are clear; to position Northumbria as a world class food tourism destination; provide a high-quality food tourism experience; improve visitors access to and awareness of local produce, food heroes and food culture; and stimulate demand for Northumbrian produce and local quality dining experiences.
The event in 2017 takes place on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th July, so come and join us for a real foodie festival from a brand that has established a reputation for producers with real local produce packed full of real Northumbrian taste.
